Save The Date! We Will Start Collecting Signatures For Safe And Accessible Abortion In Europe on the 24th of April

Up until now, we have been waiting for the moment that our My Voice, My Choice European Citizens’ Initiative is officially registered by the European Commission. We used this time preparing and building an EU wide network of supporters, and now we can finally say: We are registered and we can start collecting signatures on the 24th of April!

We need to collect one million signatures from European Union citizens.

Our ambition is to be the fastest ECI in the history of the EU by gathering the target signatures before the 2024 EU elections that will take place between the 6th and 9th of June 2024. By doing so, we want to make a direct demand to the new EU Parliament and Commission.

The fact alone that the European Commission has officially registered our ECI has highlighted that the EU can provide more than just token support for abortion rights in the EU. That is why we, the citizens of Europe, came together to change the status quo and propose EU legislation that would help Member States provide access to safe and legal abortion to all who still needlessly suffer and die due to the lack of access to safe abortion care.

We are getting ready to start collecting signatures all over the EU on the 24th of April. And we need you too. By joining us you can be the first to sign our initiative.
