We met with Commissioner for Equality Hadja Lahbib!

After collecting over 1.2 million signatures, we had our first official meeting with Commissioner Hadja Lahbib and delivered 150,000 letters of support sent in just 3 days after International Safe Abortion Day.

These letters came from students, parents, workers, retirees, people of all ages, religions, and political backgrounds. Together, they show one thing clearly: access to safe abortion is a universal value that Europe cannot ignore.

As our campaign coordinator Nika Kovač said today:

“The facts are very clear: in the EU, 20 million women do not have access to safe abortion care. This can lead to situations that are not only dangerous for the health and lives of women but also emotionally and socially harmful. We can change this. My Voice, My Choice brought a solution to the European Commission that can reduce the number of unsafe abortions in Europe.”

Now the Commission has until March 2026 to decide whether to act.
